AI Redefined to Discuss Trustworthy Human-Machine Teaming at Historic REAIM Summit in The Hague

We are excited to announce that AI Redefined (AIR), Thales, and Defence Research and Development Canada will hold an interactive panel discussion on trustworthy human-machine teaming at the REAIM (Responsible Artificial Intelligence in the Military Domain) Summit in The Hague on February 15, 2023.

REAIM 2023 is a landmark event: the first global summit on responsible artificial intelligence in the military domain. REAIM will gather international stakeholders from industry, government, academia, and civil society to discuss new technologies, common challenges, and shared goals in responsible military AI. The summit is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands (Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken) and UNIDIR.

Our panel will include an exciting lineup of experts on responsible human-machine teaming:

- Clodéric Mars, VP Engineering at AI Redefined. Mars has been building AI since 2006 with one overarching goal: fostering the collaboration between humans and AI.

- Hélène Bachatène, VP, Systems Research, Technology, and Innovation at Thales. Bachatène has 30+ years of experience in the defence sector and is our panel’s moderator.

- Ming Hou, Senior Defence Scientist, Principal Authority of Human-Technology Interactions for the Department of National Defence, Canada and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto.

- Siegfried Usal, a former fighter pilot in France and Canada and currently VP of Digital Innovation, President and General Manager of Thales AI industrial laboratory in Canada.

More details are available on REAIM’s website. We are honoured to be part of this historic event.
