AIR wins 2021 AI TechAward, named Deep Tech Pioneer, featured in AI Québec book
As we begin October, we would like to share some good news! AIR had the privilege and pleasure to receive awards and recognition recently, from our community of AI practitioners, for its vision and its innovative work on Cogment.
AIR wins 2021 AI TechAward for “Best in Open Source AI Technology” (AI Dev World)
Our open-source orchestration framework, Cogment.ai, has won the 2021 AI TechAward from AI Dev World for “Best in Open Source AI Technology.” AI Dev World (October 26-28, virtual) is the world’s largest AI and ML developer conference. On top of the joy of succeeding to last year’s winner, H2O Driverless AI, winning in this category is all the more significant given how open-source software (OSS) affects nearly every issue in AI policy and supports the incredible growth of the industry through its most popular tools, from Python to implementations of machine learning algorithms.
The 2021 AI TechAwards received hundreds of nominations. According to the event organizers, “the Advisory Board to the AI TechAwards selected Cogment based on three criteria: (1) attracting notable attention and awareness in the AI, Machine Learning & Data Science industry; (2) general regard and use by the developer & engineering community; and (3) being a leader in its sector for innovation.”

Deep Tech Pioneer (Hello Tomorrow Global Summit 2021)
AIR has also been named as a Deep Tech Pioneer by the Hello Tomorrow Global Summit 2021. We are looking forward to attending this summit (which is Europe’s biggest deep tech event)along with 3,500 disruptive startups, investors, corporations, and more.
We are happy to have been selected as a Deep Tech Pioneer amidst a competitive process of 4,000+ applications from 115 countries. The event will take place in Paris from December 2nd-3rd. Check out the event website to learn more or pick up tickets.
AI Québec Book
Finally, AIR is honoured to be featured in the book AI Québec, a new survey of the province’s vibrant AI ecosystem. AI Québec offers an engaging overview of the research and development initiatives that are fuelling the growth of our AI community. The book is co-produced and edited by Luc Sirois (Québec’s Chief Innovation Officer) and Prompt.
