Great News from Paris: AIR Grand Winner of “Data & AI” Track at Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge

Last week, we competed in the Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge, a startup competition at the Hello Tomorrow Global Summit in Paris (Europe’s biggest deep tech event.) Our President and Co-Founder Dorian Kieken delivered a pitch describing the technological impact of our company’s solutions, our team, and Cogment, our open-source framework for human-AI collaboration. We are delighted to announce that we were selected as the Grand Winner of the “Data and AI Track.”

Our President Dorian Kieken (L) accepts the “Data and AI” Track Award from the Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge on December 3, 2021 in Paris.

Winning this award earned us a spot among 13 track winners. This accolade is especially meaningful to us in light of the competitive nature of the Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge, which received 4,000+ applications from 115 countries this year. We would like to thank all the other companies who competed as well as the conference judges and organizers for their hospitality.

Our Hello Tomorrow award comes at the end of an exciting 2021 for us. The milestones we have seen include:

  • The arrival of our CEO, G. Craig Vachon, who recently wrote about what makes AIR’s approach to human-involved AI distinctive;

  • The launch of the 1.0 version of Cogment (to discover more, please see our white paper and its executive summary);

  • Other recognition from our community of AI practitioners, including an AI TechAward for “Best in Open-Source AI Technology” from AI DevWorld (the world’s largest conference for AI and ML developers) and a feature in the AI Québec book project.

We’ll keep you posted on our latest news here as well as on Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook. We look forward to seeing what 2022 will bring!
